Children's Sunday Programs

Infant
An infant nursery is available if you desire during the Morning
Worship Services.

Your child is cared for with a mother's touch.

Junior Church
A Junior Church program is presented each Sunday and is broken
into two groups according to ages. There is a pre-school and a
school age group through second grade.

Community Outreach

Woodcrest Hymn Sing
We have a wonderful opportunity to share in a service with some
very special people who for the most part are unable to get out to
their own church for services.

During our 30 minutes together we are able to sing hymns of faith,
share the Word and pray with these lovely people.

You can be a part of this experience and receive a blessing once
a quarter at Woodcrest Senior Living Center.

Compassion/Mercy Ministries

Food Pantry
We have a pantry available at the church for those in need in our
church community.

Christian Education Ministries

Mid-Week Bible Study
This is a time of Bible Study along with Prayer Time (The Hour of Power ) on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM. in the church sanctuary.

This service is vital as it is the backbone of our Church.

Adult Sunday School
There are currently four adult classes available. We have a class for:

1. Senior Adults taught by Mrs Doris Taylor and Mrs Marcia Blackburn.
2. We also have two varied aged class that is currently being taught by Nancy Stouffer and Cheryl Shoemaker.
3. A new class for Young Adults "College Age/Career Age" being taught by Chrissy Eckenroad.

All of these classes offer a great opportunity to learn more about Gods word
in an informal setting.

Bring your family to Church and plan to stay for Sunday
School this Sunday. We will be looking for you.

We offer classes for the whole family. You children will find a class
that is matched to their age group.

Music Ministries

Adult Choir
If you are interested in singing with the choir, please contact

Praise Band
A very talented musical group under the direction of Diane Huff. This group of young people (most of which are away at college now) try to gather a few times during a month for practice sessions. The Praise band plays special music on the first Sunday morning of each month or they lead an occassional Wednesday evening service. Very upbeat and dynamic music all for the sole purpose of worshipping our Lord.

Prayer Ministries

Weekly Prayer Meetings
The most important service of the week is our Prayer Meeting on
Wednesdays at 7:00 PM.

This is an opportunity for us to share our concerns and burdens
and together lift them to the Lord. Everyone has a need and
everyone can receive a blessing as we see God do marvelous
works through our people. Bring your prayer list this Wednesday.

Women's Ministries

Missions Outreach
When Jesus commissioned the eleven disciples in Matthew chapter 28, He told them to make disciples of all nations and to teach them to obey all the commands He had given them.

Our Missionary group consists of several women who are trying to do our part by supporting five missionaries to spread the "Good News" of Jesus Christ.

All are invited to attend our meeting on the second Thursday of each month as we gather and read correspondence from those we support that tell us how we can better pray for their special concerns. We review and update the prayer chain for the month and send cheer cards to the sick and shut-ins.

We also give gifts to all missionaries speaking in our church and to the faith project at Women's retreat. Each year we have a Mother-Daughter banquet that is well attended by many church members.

During the Thanksgiving season we collect our "blessing offering" that we save all year and the Sunday before Thanksgiving have a special offering that allows the church to participate as well. This is sent to our missionaries, Pastors and Teen Challenge for Christmas. We also give cookie plates or fruit baskets for Christmas, this with the help of many from the church.

God blesses us so richly we are able to do all these things in His Name and for His Glory!

Youth Ministries (Jr./Sr. High)

Weekly Youth Groups
The Youth Group meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM.

Directors: We are currently looking to fill the position of youth leader - if you feel the call to make a difference in the lives of our youth - please contact Tim Shoemaker or call the church and leave a message.
